Kiarra Charles, LPC, LCPC

Kiarra Charles was raised in the City of Champions, East St. Louis, Illinois. A city credited for the world’s greatest talents such as Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner Kersee, Jazz pioneer Miles Davis and the world renowned choreographer Katherine Dunham. Unfortunately, the city is also known for being plagued by poverty, crime and youth at high risk of death and incarceration. Without a doubt, Kiarra’s development in East St. Louis has greatly informed her endeavors as a mental health therapist.

Here’s a snapshot of her professional history:

  • BA Psychology (2015)

  • Masters Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2018)

  • National Certified Counselor (2018)

  • Child and Adolescent Trauma Therapist (2018)

  • Facilitator of Trauma-Informed Parenting Groups (2018-2021)

  • Trainer/Consultant for Child Maltreatment Professionals (2019)

  • Co-Chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team (2020-2021)

  • Family Court Therapist (2021-2024)

  • Manager of Clinical Operations at a Child Trauma Agency (2024)

    * Kiarra is also licensed to see clients in Missouri & Illinois
